Vestry Meeting: There will be a Vestry Meeting on Tuesday, August 8 at 5:00pm.

Search Committee Meeting: The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 8 at 6:00pm.

Adult Forum: Will reconvene next Sunday, August 13, at 9:25am in the Parish Hall. Fr. Carroll Travis will commence a 3-week study on the Christian’s Spiritual Life. Feel free to visit Fr. Travis’ website at www.discoveringthetreasurewithin.com. Questions? Send an email to www.rcarrolltravis@hotmail.com . Also, what topics would you like to discuss/study in the future? Submit your ideas to Deacon Tom or the Church Office.

Looking Ahead:

  • The Wednesday Bible Studies will reconvene after Labor Day, on Wednesday – September 9 at 11:00am in the Parish Hall. Deacon Tom will be concentrating on the book of Isaiah. All are invited!
  • Effective August 9, the Wednesday Services will be held in the Church sanctuary.

Special Project – Cabinets: The Vestry has approved purchase of storage cabinets to house the extra kitchen supplies (versus being stacked in boxes in the Parish Hall), and provide storage space for the ministry groups. Please use the Special Projects envelopes in the church pews, and write “Cabinets” on the envelope or in the Memo section on your check. Thank you!

Good News: Just a gentle reminder…the submission deadline for the September issue is Thursday, August 17. Thanks to those who have contributed, and keep the articles coming!!!

Commissioning of Fr. Loren & Linda: The commissioning service for Loren and Linda Fox will be held on October 15 at the diocese in Orlando at 6:00pm. If you are interested in going over on the bus, please call Ashford Clunie at 676-0797.

Celebration of a New Ministry: The Reverend Brian Turner will be installed as Vicar at Church of the Blessed Redeemer in Palm Bay TODAY (August 6) at 4:00pm. In order to participate in the celebration with Blessed Redeemer, the 5pm Worship Service at COOS has been cancelled.

A BIG THANK YOU: Thank You to all who offered prayers for my health and surgery, sent cards, flowers and candy, and visited me, especially Deacon Tom, whose visit was comforting and re-assuring. God is good! Beverly Jones-Platt

Family Promise: For all those who have supported Family Promise, by volunteering, sewing bedsheets, or donating food – you are cordially invited to the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at Suntree United Methodist Church, August 18 at 6-8pm.
